For the monitors there are 390hz and I think 500hz at 1080p, at 4k there is 240 I think, 144hz I am certain

This was only seen on LG, Sony, Apple and Sharp.

Well, I love my Poco X4 GT with its high end 144hz IPS display. So much nicer than everything below it.
I really don’t care about high refresh rate, I always use my phone at 60hz. (Saves battery)

in mobile space the ipad pro did it first for mainstream, and from the start they had variable refresh rate (promotion 24-120hz)

I dislike how the push for 120hz has resulted in a sacrifice of screen resolution, I would much rather 1440p 60 Hz than 1080p 120hz.
Even more important is manual refresh rate control, the problem is for those of us in Europe where we have 25/50fps content, you get a lot of judder due to uneven frames being repeated, you also get judder with 24p content on 60 and 90hz, so the advantage of 120hz for me is the ability to properly watch 24fps film content.
I just bought a laptop with a 4k oled screen but it only refreshes at 60hz, Dell computers give you the option of 48hz, and Apple laptops I believe give you even more options.

I Changed my screen to 60hz and i don’t miss 120hz or notice much difference.
The future probably for LTPO and dynamic refresh rate where you get 120hz only when needed.
As for now, 60hz is probably the best and even for gaming,most games don’t support 120hz

playing games with 90hz or even above 120hz is too much for me, 60hz in games is the same as 90hz scrolling UI and browser as I see it.

This article makes me want to laugh at Apple even more, not only IPhone 14 and 14 plus have a large ugly notch but they also only got a 60hz display. Both of those cost 1000€+ in most of the world. So once again big L to Apple

X Performance = first 120Hz hardware
XZ2 Premium= first 144 Hz hardware
Sharp Zero = forst 240Hz ( no blackframes this one)
