Frisco’s Dude Perfect Plans New HQ To Serve as a Destination for Fans » Dallas Innovates | #youtubescams | #lovescams | #datingscams

What started as “five dudes, a camera, and a friendly bet” has grown into a sports and entertainment group that’s amassed 58 million YouTube subscribers. Now its five co-founders are looking for a new home that highlights the stunts that brought them to fame, while serving as a destination for their many fans.

Frisco-based Dude Perfect, best known for its trick shot videos, has teamed up with San Antonio architecture firm Overland Partners to develop a 10-acre headquarters project that it dubs “Trick Shot Town.”

“Think sports heaven—indoor & outdoor experiences you can only do here—plus the chance to try things you’ve only seen on video,” Dude Perfect wrote on Twitter.

Renderings for the project by Overland show the multi-story project centered around a 330-foot tower— a “vertical expression of the brand known for their impossible shots.” It will also give visitors to the Dude Perfect HQ a chance to attempt their own shots from the top of the tower.

“Encapsulated by the sweeping fabric structure, the iconic tower will be a focal beacon of Dude Perfect,” Overland wrote on its website.

Looking to make the headquarters a destination for families and fans, the project includes three stories of restaurant space, a merch store, and “crazy mini golf,” in addition to a Dude Perfect Museum that highlights the group’s decade-plus-long career. All of that will be surrounded by acres of outdoor greenspace with activities like pickleball.

“We want every visitor to step into the world of Dude Perfect and feel like they might just experience the impossible,” Austin Ash, senior architect at Overland, said in a statement.

The project could cost as much as $100 million, The Dallas Morning News reports. No timeline for construction has been announced, and the location hasn’t been chosen yet.

Dude Perfect’s Coby Cotton told Sports Business Journal he and his other four co-founders and owners—all Texans—”would love for it to be nearby” their home turf. “That said, we are exploring all different options and we’ve had a lot of interest from different cities,” including Los Angeles and Atlanta. The SBJ says the team will relocate to wherever they decide to place the new digs.

The dudes behind Dude Perfect—Tyler Toney, Garrett Hilbert, Cody Jones, Cory Cotton, and Coby Cotton—met up around 2007 while attending Texas A&M. A few years later, the group found themselves challenging each other to attempt their “craziest trick shots” in a video that would take them viral overnight. The group has since garnered more than 58 million subscribers and tens of billions of views on YouTube, making it the fourth largest sports channel on the platform, according to Crunchbase.

In a Twitter post, Dude Perfect says the new headquarters is “just the beginning.”

“Our biggest dream yet is to bring families together in a fun-filled, memory-making destination unlike any other. A place not just to come and see, but a place to come and do,” Dude Perfect said in a joint statement.
